Adam Thompson is a versatile accounting and finance professional with a passion for action and a mindset of continuous improvement focused on driving long-term success.
His extensive manufacturing/distribution background that includes roles in organizations of all sizes within varied industries allows him to offer diverse experience in FP&A, strategy development, project management, cash flow management, financial modeling, M&A, Six Sigma/Lean, internal controls (SOX), coaching/mentoring, private equity relations, team development, IT, and financial leadership. While relying on his unique combination of accounting and finance skills, he has streamlined processes, collaborated with senior leadership and cross-functional teams, and managed large budgets and tight deadlines.
In addition to an MBA in Executive Management, Adam also earned a Six Sigma Green Belt and is certified in Leadership Development and Lean Accounting. His industry experience includes automotive, consumer goods, media/licensing, valves/fluid control, food packaging, energy/utilities, healthcare, retail, and commercial.
Adam’s key accomplishments include merger and acquisition transactions, purchase accounting activities, the restructuring of Finance and IT teams, the development and automation of robust financial packages, the evaluation of capital projects and investments, the development of KPI metrics, the creation of a cash management process and a Hoshin Kanri process used for longterm strategic growth initiatives, and assistance with numerous ERP system implementations including SAP, Epicor, Mapics, and AS400.
